Homeownership Program General Criteria
- Do you have a need for safe, affordable housing and do not currently own your home?
- Can you demonstrate an ability to pay? (Income eligibility will be updated on our website after in late January when new guidelines are available.)
- Are you willing to be an active partner with Sandusky County Habitat for Humanity by completing sweat equity hours, participating in events, attending classes, and maintaining communication?
If you answered YES to all of the above questions, we welcome you to contact us during our open enrollment period in 2023.
Our annual enrollment period for application to our
homeownership program will be
February 1, 2023 through March 1, 2023
for a home that will be built within the Gibsonburg School District.
During the open enrollment period, you must call our office 419-355-1257 for a brief pre-screening phone interview. If eligible for our program after the pre-screening phone interview, an application appointment will be scheduled for late March. A list of required documentation will be provided prior to the application appointment. We will assist in completing any form we require to be considered as a future homeowner. Our Homeowner Selection Committee will be available to answer questions throughout the enrollment period and application process.
Please note that our application process is no longer open for enrollment in 2022.
